Meet Our team

Dr. Brandi B. Kenner is the Founder and CEO of Cognitive Insights Psychological & Testing Center where she oversees day-to-day operations and the staffing of experienced and compassion clinicians. She has over 20 years of experience serving students with a variety of abilities and needs in public and private settings, and has worked in all facets of education from early childhood through higher education. Dr. Kenner's areas of expertise include learning disabilities, developmental delays, cognition and development broadly, and language and literacy development. 

Prior to founding Cognitive Insights Psychological & Testing Center, Dr. Kenner had a robust and diverse professional career, including serving as Director, and eventually Chief of Research, Innovation, & Learning for the Atlanta Speech School and its Rollins Center for Language & Literacy, where she led literacy transformation efforts throughout the state of Georgia and the region. She has also served as an executive and senior advisor/consultant to many other national developmental science and education organizations, nonprofits and philanthropies. Dr. Kenner still holds some of these senior advisory appointments, and is passionate about supporting these organizations to be sustainable and keep their practices and strategies in alignment with the science of learning and human development. 

Dr. Kenner has founded several schools and educational programs to-date, and holds an Affiliated Research Scientist appointment with Yale University's Haskins Laboratories, which studies the science of written and spoken language.  She is also the founder and CEO of a social change transformation organization called Choice-filled Lives Network. Most recently, in February of 2022, Dr. Kenner was honored with the Malcolm Knowles Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Society for Self-Directed Learning for Significant Lifelong Contributions to the Field.
